WIFA Post-Mother’s Day Yoga Session – May 15

On May 15, post-Mother’s Day, come explore the gift of yoga with instructor Carrie Chu! Join mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends to celebrate the women in your life by prioritizing their health and well-being. Carrie will demonstrate the power of alignment yoga, a powerful practice with detailed instructions on intricate movements of the body. It calls for body awareness through which practitioners cultivate their minds. Improved posture from a sustained practice can counter the effects of long-term desk jobs which many individuals suffer from. Alignment yoga relieves stress, increases mindfulness, and improves concentration.

During this session event, basic anatomy for yoga will be covered. By observing and acknowledging anatomical differences among each individual and by assisting each other with posture adjustment, Carrie will introduce participants to relaxation methods. Whether it is on or off the mat, join WIFA post-Mother’s Day to explore your physical and mental health within the world around us.

There is no fee for the sessions, but once you register please be mindful to attend as there is a waiting list.
