Loretta Lau is an accomplished member of the WIFA 2023 steerco committee, known for her strong advocacy for gender equity. As the co-chair of HSBC Asset Management’s gender equity workstream and an ambassador with the Diversity Project, Loretta is dedicated to promoting female empowerment, and diversity and inclusion within the financial industry. She also devotes her time to cultivating young talent and plays a key role in HSBC’s graduate trainee and mentorship programs in Asia. In her professional life, she serves as the Head of Asia Strategy and Corporate Management at HSBC Asset Management, while outside of work, Loretta continues to expand her knowledge and skills through pursuing an executive MBA program at Kellogg-HKUST, and she enjoys travel, music and art events, hiking and step counts.
