When and why did your Firm start to support WiFA? How do you think the staff are benefiting from the programs/ events?
Citi has been collaborating with WIFA for a number of years. Staff benefit from our engaging, relevant, and insightful events like the Emerging Talent Committee’s Strategic Skills Series, which last year focused on internal mobility and maximizing productivity – some of the core skills required for career progression within any organization.

What is your current role, and your participation within the diversity and inclusion initiatives?
I am the Head of International Personal Banking Risk and Control at Citi based in HK. I also lead the Strategic Marketing effort of Citi Women’s Network.

Can you share one of your Firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Programs that resonates with the WiFA mission of empowering women in achieving their full professional potential?
Citi Women’s Network actively promotes various diversity and inclusion initiatives, such as industry events, leadership talks, mentoring, parenting, as well as community and wellness topics for both men and women in the firm. The key is ensuring the message we deliver is contemporary and relevant, which requires a lot of internal discussion and collaboration to generate material that delivers that right balance.

Tell us one thing that is important for #CreatingTheWorkforceOfTheFuture
Embrace the future with digital platforms and technology, as we are living through a fundamental change in the way we work. We all need to innovate to find new ways to better serve our clients and their needs and be ready to address regulatory and markets issues.

What advice would you give to women who want to lead?
Try to broaden your network inside and outside of work. These relationships enable you to call on others for support, whether that is for advice, to obtain information, or to set up a partnership.
