Strong leadership should not invoke gender based images, but rather be defined by qualities and values, with people selected for leadership roles because they are the most qualified irrespective of gender, ethnicity or religion. But are we doing enough to promote the qualities and values that we expect to see in our leaders?
And how are we showcasing the talent and achievements of our colleagues as examples of living these values, to ensure they are getting the recognition for further promotion and development and go forward to being our leaders of the future? We all can do more.
